House pictures

So this weekend I found couches at RC Willey. Mom and Dad helped me get them for Christmas. They were delivered today. I absolutely love them!!! They are so nice and they look so good in the room. I need to rearrange the rest of the house to compensate for them. I also got the coffee table and the end tables. They are cherry wood and they look so nice!! Anyway I am so thrilled with them!!
This past weekend Victor's family gave me a beautiful tree skirt and a cute little snowman. I just had to take picture of the tree skirt and post it; I would not do it justice in describing it. It is so so nice.
Well I got the approval of Griffin and Lady for the couches. It took lady about 20min to decide the couches were safe but in the end I got two thumbs (or paws) up.

Thanksgiving Weekend

This past weekend we got to celebrate Thankgiving. I love this time of year when family gathers to enjoy the festivites. Mom and Dad flew in on wednesday morning. That evening we picked up Greg from the Train Station in SLC. Holli stayed the night at the "Warner's" house (mandee and Cameron). Thursday morning we got up early and Mom made her peanut butter stuffing. Then the cooking began. I was in charge of rolls and cake. The cake was so so good and the rolls, well, let just say I need to try again (they were a bit dry). My oven and I are not speaking to each other.

After the preparation we were able to go over to Aunt Julie's house. Victor and his parents came to Thanksgiving with us. It was so much fun. We had so much food and good conversation. Greg was in heaven as he was able to speak spanish to his hearts delight! After dinner we all came back to my house and visited and later had dessert. It was very fun!

The next day was black friday... dunn dunn dunnn!!!! Crazy things happen so early in the morning. I was pretty glad we were able to stay home untill about 7:00am. We hit Best Buy, Shopko, Michaels, and of course RC Willies. I got the best deal ever. New furniture!!! More to come on that later....

Saturday was so much fun! We had the chance to go to SLC and see the Savior of the World play. It was really nice. It was about the birth of Christ and His resurection. I thought it was well worth the time. Then we walked around temple square with the lights! It was so beautiful.

We had such a good time in SLC. The weather was perfect. The lights were spectacular. The traffic was pretty busy though. I managed to take a picture of the streets in SLC from the Joseph Smith building. Crazy.

All in all this was a great week! It was pretty long and busy but it was so so great and I am so glad we got to do all of these things!

Oh Christmas Tree

So today we put up the Christmas tree. Yes it may seem just a little early but as the fam is coming on Wednesday I thought it would be nice to have my Christmas out.

Victor came over this morning and we spent the day at the house. We listened to Christmas music while we unfolded the tree. We mostly wanted to get the Christmas tree out and up but we also wanted to watch Victor's documentary that he finished for school. It was very very well done! We had a good time watching that. We also went grocery shopping for thanksgiving. Mom gave Holli and I a list of things to get so we are prepared to make our portion of the thanksgiving meal. Victor was a sport about my coupons and bargain shopping. We did a pretty good job I think we saved like 40$. Pretty neat huh! Well I am most certainly excited for Christmas and Thanksgiving now. I just hope the dogs leave the tree alone but we'll see...

Mexico City Temple

This past weekend I had the opportunity to go to the broadcast of the rededication of the Mexico City temple. It started with a "cultural event" Saturday evening. I will admit I wasn't sure what to expect from that but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a broadcast from Mexico; it was a dance festival which portrayed the history of the mexican people. President Monson and Elder Iring were there and they spoke a little. President Monson was so funny, he sang a funny Spanish song that he learned in his Spanish class. It was cool to see all the traditional dancing and the costumes were so so nice. I loved the colors on the dresses.

After that fun event Victor and I went to Olive Garden. I love that place. Can you guess what I got...yup Fettuccine Alfredo.

Sunday evening was the broadcast of the rededication of the Mexico City temple. It was so good. I loved the spirit and feeling that was there. I love to listen to President Monson. I was able to understand a chunk of the Spanish that was spoken. I was feeling pretty good about one of the sisters who spoke. She spoke of a family with children in the Jordan temple (i think) and how those children were touching the walls of the temple because they knew how sacred and important it was. The story was very touching as was her message and I felt blessed that I could understand it. When the subsequent brothers and sisters spoke I got lost with their talks but I was able to understand their testimonies. It was a very neat experience.
This was such a good weekend. (I didn't even mention that Friday Victor and I went to James Bond...so so good)

What a surprise

So today being thursday I worked my usual late night shift. The first thing I do when I get home is let the dogs go outside. While I was out there contimplating life or something I just happened to look up. There was a full moon out and the light happened to hit the snow topped peaks of the mountains just east of my home. It looked like the mountains were glowing. I couldnt resist I put the dogs in the house, grabbed my camera and my tripod, and was out. It took me a few tries to get the coloring right but just look at the results. This was a nice little surprise for me after work today. I hope you enjoy the picture!

Mukilteo Ferry

I know this is SOO late in posting it on my blog but I just made a cool picture in adobe that I wanted to share.

So this past August we went to Mukilteo Ferry while we were visiting Seattle. I Just finished scrapbooking a bit from the evening we spent at the beach. We were going to ride the Ferry but it was like a 2 hour wait so we decided to eat, hang out, and enjoy the mukilteo park. It turned out to be a fun relaxing evening.

Halloween Weekend

This past weekend was Halloween. It was my first Halloween in my new house. We had plenty of treats and even some play dough for the trick-or-treators. We had probably 20-30 kids that came. It was kind of fun, for about an hour. I ended up turning off the lights at about 8:00 because Mandee, Cameron, Holli, Victor, and I were watching "The orphanage." The orphanage was kind of like "The Others." The movie was in Spanish with English subtitles. I was thinking I would be able to try to understand some of the move but was I wrong, they spoke way to fast for me, even the little 6yr old. Now that I know the ending I can say it was a really good movie.
Saturday we went to Nate and Deedee's house for the family Halloween party. Victor came too. It was pretty fun. Victor and I put together a pumpkin for the pumpkin contest. I got the pumpkin that morning for free at macey's. It was cool. Well anyways we won the contest and got a $25 gift card to Chili's. I think we will use that Friday. :)
Sunday the five of us went to Grandma Child's house for dinner. It was great. We watched a movie called "Private Eyes." It was an older satirical detective movie with Don Knotts. It was pretty funny.
All and all a pretty good weekend!!!

GARDNER VILLAGE

DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND, I AM POSTING MY ADVENTURE TO GARDNER VILLAGE...

This past weekend I went to Gadner Village with Victor. I did not know that this cute place existed untill now. This place is in West Jordan near Victor's house. This little spot is all decked out with witches, pumkins, and all things Halloween.

The night we chose to go just happened to be "Witches Night Out." It was pretty cool to see all sorts of regular old people dressed up as witches. I am not talking smudge of green face pain, fake wart, and a hat no I am talking creative decked out witches. It was cool to see!

All In all it turned out to be a very fun evening. I am totally geared up for Halloween now!!!

AAHHH AUTUMN

Autumn is here. The leaves on the mountains have officially changed to the beautiful reds and golds. I love autumn. Griffin and Lady love to chase the leaves as they blow by. The bad thing is that autumn is here and gone before you even realize it. Soon we will be shoveling and scraping. Winter quickly approaches. For now the brisk days and cool nights are very enjoyable.

LADY AND GRIFFIN

If you combine their names you could get Liffin or Grady; Hmmm I think I will stick with Lady and Griffin for now.

Well it wouldnt be a blog update without posting new pics of my little puppies. Lady keeps getting bigger and bigger, Griffin seems to be shrinking in comparison. This past week Lady started loosing her teeth! OH HAPPY DAY! It will be nice when she has her bigger, much less sharp teeth. She gets her final series of shots in just 3 days. It will be nice. She hasnt gotten to go for a walk yet. I have never tried to walk 2 dogs at once before, we will see how that one goes. Well they are both very stunning. Their coats just keep shining and they are maturing into very pretty dogs!

Mom's birthday

Mom turned 50!!! What a golden day that was. She was the birthday queen with her flashing crown and wand. I think the smoke detector was about to go off when we had that small bon fire on top of the cake aglow. The party had an explosive ending with poping streamers! Happy birthday mom!!

WEDDING PICS!!!

THE WEDDING

So the wedding has come and gone. The day was so fun and crazy. Both Mandee and Cameron were on cloud 9 all day. Despite a stubbor veil everything went pretty much according to the plans. I can't believe it is over. The happy couple are now somewhere in the middle of the ocean on a cruise. I hope they took their life jackets!!!

Lady

Lady is getting so big! She weighs 6 lbs at only 14 weeks! Griffin and she love to play and play and of course play! She is always trying to beat him up. She has a secret weapon, small, sharp, powerful teeth! She is doing pretty good in her kennel. I think she knows that I am always going to come home and let her out now. She is a master excape artist with the baby gate though. It never fails she can get through and poor Griffin is left crying on the other side. She has mastered her first trick! She can "go round" in a circle. it is so cute! She is so fun to have!!!

Grandpa is Amazing!!!

Grandpa is so amazing! Look at my front room windows. They are so a beautiful!!!

A few weeks ago he tooks some measurements of my windows and POOF look what he made for me! Shutters! They are so beautiful. He and dad installed the crown molding also! They look so nice. He did a superb job!!!

I am so cool

So, I had this area of overgrowth next to my house. Really it was a small violent forrest of doom. It had to go!!! So I hired my lawn guys (they are so nice) to clear that out. What a project. They did a really good job. The house looks so much better! On a side note, they nicked my sprinkler line. I noticed something was amiss when I was testing the system and found a gieser spouting from the ground in the area they cleaned out for me... Hmm I thought, somethings wrong here. So I turned off old faithful and dug up the line, sure enough there was a little hole. So I, being the resourcefull person that I am, called Dad. He told me what to do and buy but I did it. Yes Yes I fixed the sprinkling system all by myself! You could say I am pretty amazing. There werent any leaks or anything. Just thought I would let you all know that I am pretty darn awesome!!!
