Wedding Dress

So I got a wedding dress last weekend! I am so excited. We tried on so so many dresses. I just could not find one that fit my basic criteria...White, Pretty, Flattering, and not so much alteration needed. Well after trying on dresses for what seemed like forever, I said I was done! I could not decide. So we were going to go have lunch and go to another store. Well there was still one dress in my dressing room that I did not try on and I sure wasn't going to. After my Mom's insisting I hesitantly put the dress on and ta da it was perfect! I loved it. Suddenly it was easy! I am so excited about this dress. I don't want to give anything away but, it meets all my criteria, plus I love it!

House pictures

So this weekend I found couches at RC Willey. Mom and Dad helped me get them for Christmas. They were delivered today. I absolutely love them!!! They are so nice and they look so good in the room. I need to rearrange the rest of the house to compensate for them. I also got the coffee table and the end tables. They are cherry wood and they look so nice!! Anyway I am so thrilled with them!!
This past weekend Victor's family gave me a beautiful tree skirt and a cute little snowman. I just had to take picture of the tree skirt and post it; I would not do it justice in describing it. It is so so nice.
Well I got the approval of Griffin and Lady for the couches. It took lady about 20min to decide the couches were safe but in the end I got two thumbs (or paws) up.

Thanksgiving Weekend

This past weekend we got to celebrate Thankgiving. I love this time of year when family gathers to enjoy the festivites. Mom and Dad flew in on wednesday morning. That evening we picked up Greg from the Train Station in SLC. Holli stayed the night at the "Warner's" house (mandee and Cameron). Thursday morning we got up early and Mom made her peanut butter stuffing. Then the cooking began. I was in charge of rolls and cake. The cake was so so good and the rolls, well, let just say I need to try again (they were a bit dry). My oven and I are not speaking to each other.

After the preparation we were able to go over to Aunt Julie's house. Victor and his parents came to Thanksgiving with us. It was so much fun. We had so much food and good conversation. Greg was in heaven as he was able to speak spanish to his hearts delight! After dinner we all came back to my house and visited and later had dessert. It was very fun!

The next day was black friday... dunn dunn dunnn!!!! Crazy things happen so early in the morning. I was pretty glad we were able to stay home untill about 7:00am. We hit Best Buy, Shopko, Michaels, and of course RC Willies. I got the best deal ever. New furniture!!! More to come on that later....

Saturday was so much fun! We had the chance to go to SLC and see the Savior of the World play. It was really nice. It was about the birth of Christ and His resurection. I thought it was well worth the time. Then we walked around temple square with the lights! It was so beautiful.

We had such a good time in SLC. The weather was perfect. The lights were spectacular. The traffic was pretty busy though. I managed to take a picture of the streets in SLC from the Joseph Smith building. Crazy.

All in all this was a great week! It was pretty long and busy but it was so so great and I am so glad we got to do all of these things!

Oh Christmas Tree

So today we put up the Christmas tree. Yes it may seem just a little early but as the fam is coming on Wednesday I thought it would be nice to have my Christmas out.

Victor came over this morning and we spent the day at the house. We listened to Christmas music while we unfolded the tree. We mostly wanted to get the Christmas tree out and up but we also wanted to watch Victor's documentary that he finished for school. It was very very well done! We had a good time watching that. We also went grocery shopping for thanksgiving. Mom gave Holli and I a list of things to get so we are prepared to make our portion of the thanksgiving meal. Victor was a sport about my coupons and bargain shopping. We did a pretty good job I think we saved like 40$. Pretty neat huh! Well I am most certainly excited for Christmas and Thanksgiving now. I just hope the dogs leave the tree alone but we'll see...

Mexico City Temple

This past weekend I had the opportunity to go to the broadcast of the rededication of the Mexico City temple. It started with a "cultural event" Saturday evening. I will admit I wasn't sure what to expect from that but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a broadcast from Mexico; it was a dance festival which portrayed the history of the mexican people. President Monson and Elder Iring were there and they spoke a little. President Monson was so funny, he sang a funny Spanish song that he learned in his Spanish class. It was cool to see all the traditional dancing and the costumes were so so nice. I loved the colors on the dresses.

After that fun event Victor and I went to Olive Garden. I love that place. Can you guess what I got...yup Fettuccine Alfredo.

Sunday evening was the broadcast of the rededication of the Mexico City temple. It was so good. I loved the spirit and feeling that was there. I love to listen to President Monson. I was able to understand a chunk of the Spanish that was spoken. I was feeling pretty good about one of the sisters who spoke. She spoke of a family with children in the Jordan temple (i think) and how those children were touching the walls of the temple because they knew how sacred and important it was. The story was very touching as was her message and I felt blessed that I could understand it. When the subsequent brothers and sisters spoke I got lost with their talks but I was able to understand their testimonies. It was a very neat experience.
This was such a good weekend. (I didn't even mention that Friday Victor and I went to James Bond...so so good)
